About the verge mower

A hydraulically positioned flail mower for cutting grass and weeds beside the tractor and on accessible banks or verges.

Features & benefits

01

Hydraulic offset and tilt

The head can work outside the tractor wheelbase and be angled for access beside the tractor.

02

Head positioning range

The mowing head can be raised to 90 degrees or lowered to 50 degrees. These are head movement angles, not permitted tractor slope angles.

03

Rear height-control roller

An adjustable rear roller sets the cutting height within the specified range.

04

Spiral flail arrangement

Spirally arranged hammer flails cut grass and weeds; alternative Y-blades are configuration-specific.

Typical applications

Roadside vegetation cutting with an offset verge mower
Roadside vegetation cutting with an offset verge mower
  • Verge and bank maintenanceUse the hydraulic offset and tilt arrangement to reach suitable grass and weeds beside the tractor.
  • Orchard and boundary edgesCut along accessible tree rows and boundaries with adequate tractor and mowing-head clearance. Head tilt does not establish safe tractor operation on a slope.

Installation requirements

Confirm the implement fits your tractor

Before ordering, send the machine identification and the connection, power and working information relevant to this product.

  1. Tractor stability and lift

Compare tractor power, lift capacity, implement mass and stability in the intended offset working position.

  2. Rear connection

Check the actual three-point mounting geometry and clearance through the lift movement.

  3. PTO supply

Match the specified 540 r/min PTO input and guarded driveline.

  4. Hydraulic positioning

Confirm tractor hydraulic outlets, hose connections and controls for offset and tilt. The specifications do not give hydraulic flow or pressure values.

Product questions

Verge mower questions

Is it the same as a long-reach boom mower?

No. This EFGL range uses an offset-and-tilt flail frame. A boom mower has a different articulated arm and reach arrangement.

What PTO speed and driveline connection does this mower need?

Match the specified 540 r/min PTO input and guarded driveline.

What should I check before installation?

Compare tractor power, lift capacity, implement mass and stability in the intended offset working position. Check the actual three-point mounting geometry and clearance through the lift movement.
