What to Record When Inspecting Bucket Wear

Clear photographs and component details help identify the wear parts and the next inspection steps.

01

Record the working components

Identify the teeth, adapters, cutting edges and wear surfaces fitted to the bucket. Record the component markings and connection style where available. Different tooth systems are not automatically interchangeable.

02

Describe the observed condition

Photograph the relevant area with a scale reference and record uneven wear, missing components or visible damage. A photograph can support identification, but it does not establish structural fitness or a remaining service-life figure.

03

Use the equipment instructions

Replacement procedures, inspection limits and fastening requirements depend on the installed components. Use the corresponding bucket and wear-part instructions; do not transfer a torque or discard limit from a different model.
