Selection checks

Check the task, working size and machine

Seeding, Planting & Fertilising

01

Crop and seed form

Identify grain seed, precision-planted seed, potatoes, seedlings or fertiliser.

02

Placement method

Compare seed drilling, individual-seed metering, transplanting and spreading.

03

Rows and rate

State row spacing, placement depth and application rate for the crop or material.

04

Drive arrangement

Check ground-wheel metering, pneumatic fan, PTO pump or hydraulic drive for the selected implement.

Installation requirements

Confirm the implement fits your tractor

Before ordering, send the machine identification and the connection, power and working information relevant to this product.

  1. Crop and operation

Seed size, crop, fertiliser or spraying task.

  2. Rows and application rate

Row spacing, depth or the required distribution rate.

  3. Mounting and drive

Check ground-wheel, PTO, hydraulic or electrical drive as specified.

  4. Tractor and capacity

Hitch, lifting capacity and hopper or tank requirements.

Selection questions

Questions before choosing a tool

Is a seed drill a precision planter?

A seed drill places seed through rows using its specified distribution system. A precision planter meters individual seeds and spacing for its intended crop.

Do pneumatic seed drills and sprayers use the same drive?

No. A pneumatic drill uses an air-distribution system; a sprayer uses a liquid pump and nozzles. Check each system’s actual power and connection requirements.

Does machine power or weight alone establish a fit?

No. Check the mounting connection, lifting limits and the power or hydraulic supply specified for the selected tool.

What should I provide when comparing product types?

Describe the material, required result and working dimensions. Include the machine model and the connection information listed above.
