Mowers & Mulchers

01

Required finish

Distinguish maintained-lawn mowing, rough grass cutting and vegetation shredding.

02

Blade or flail rotor

A vertical-axis rotary cutter and a horizontal flail rotor use different cutting mechanisms.

03

Working position

Choose in-line, offset or articulated-boom reach for the actual verge or field.

04

Vegetation and terrain

Describe grass, brush or pruning residue, banks, slopes and obstacles.

Selection questions

Questions before choosing a tool

Should I choose a finishing mower or a flail mower?

A finishing mower’s deck is intended for maintained grass. A flail mower uses a horizontal rotor for the vegetation specified by its manufacturer.

Are offset and boom mowers interchangeable names?

No. An offset head and an articulated boom have different reach and movement arrangements. Compare the actual head and positioning mechanism.

Does machine power or weight alone establish a fit?

No. Check the mounting connection, lifting limits and the power or hydraulic supply specified for the selected tool.

What should I provide when comparing product types?

Describe the material, required result and working dimensions. Include the machine model and the connection information listed above.
